Furniture

These goods are imported from a variety of countries such as Vietnam, Malaysia, Brazil, Thailand, China, the Philippines, India and Indonesia, and are also obtained from domestic sources. Lumber Liquidators Holdings, Inc. (Lumber Liquidators) is retailer of hardwood flooring, and hardwood flooring enhancements and accessories. It offers flooring products made from more than 25 wood species, including both domestic woods, such as ash, beech, birch, hickory, northern hard maple, northern red oak, pine and American walnut, and exotic woods, such as bloodwood, cherry, cypress, e! bony, koa, mesquite, mahogany, rosewood and teak. Lumber Liquidators sells these products either prefinished or unfinished.
Engineered Hardwood
The Company�� engineered hardwood products are produced by bonding a layer of hardwood to a plywood or fiber board backing. Its engineered hardwood floors are offered in domestic and exotic wood species, and in either glue down or floating application. All of its engineered hardwood products are prefinished. Engineered flooring is designed primarily to be installed in areas where hardwood is not conducive, such as slab construction, basements and areas where moisture may be a factor.
Laminates
Lumber Liquidators Holdings, Inc.�� laminate flooring is constructed with a fiber board core, inserted between a melamine laminate backing and photographic paper displaying an image of wood and a ceramic finish, abrasion-resistant laminate top. Its laminate flooring brands allow for easy-click installation, and some include a pre-glued undersurface, moisture repellent, soundproofing, single-strip format or a handscraped textured finish.
Moldings and Accessories
Lumber Liquidators offer a variety of wood flooring moldings and accessories. It sells stair treads and risers in both finished and unfinished versions. Accessories include underlayments that are placed between the new floor and the sub-floor, insulating sound and cushioning the floors. In addition, it sells installation supplies, such as sealers, adhesives and trowels, floor cleaning supplies, and butcher-block kitchen countertops.
Bamboo and Cork
The Company�� bamboo products, harvested from the bamboo plant, are offered as a prefinished, natural or stained, solid or engineered floor. Its cork flooring is produced by harvesting the outer bark of the cork oak tree.

This morning, CarMax Group (NYSE: KMX) reported its fourth quarter results. The company announced an EPS of $0.44, missing the consensus estimate of $0.53. Revenue of $3.08 billion missed the consensus estimate of $3.18 billion. Net earnings for the quarter declined to $99.2 million from $107.2 million in the same quarter last year as the company ��orrected our accounting related to cancellation reserves for extended service plan (ESP) and guaranteed asset protection (GAP) products��which had an adverse effect on income. Used vehicle gross profit per unit was little changed in the quarter at $2,141 as same-store sales rose seven percent. The company increases its share repurchase authorization by $1 billion which expires on December 31, 2015. Share slost 4.21 percent, closing at $45.56.

Another of my favorite retailers, especially coming off price weakness, like most everything this past week, is Coach (COH). However, as with many of the stocks in this week's listing, the challenge is whether what appears to be value pricing is instead, a value trap, as an overall declining market takes the good along with the bad lower. With an almost 14% drop since its earnings, Coach has had a head start on any general decline which gives me some solace if investing new funds.

One of last week's earnings related selections played true to form and dropped decidedly after earnings were released. Coach (COH) rarely disappoints in its ability to display significant moves in either direction after earnings and in this case, the disappointment was just shy of the $52.50 strike price at which I had sold weekly puts. However, with the week now done and at its new lower price, I think Coach represents a good entry point for new shares. With its newest competitor, at least in the hearts of stock investors, Michael Kors (KORS) reporting earnings this week, there is a chance that Coach may drop if Kors reports better than expected numbers, as the expectation will be that it had done so at Coach's expense. For that reason, I might consider waiting until Tuesday morning before deciding whether to add Coach to the portfolio.

Yet even though the stock seems convinced of the success of the company's turnaround, expected growth in Coach earnings seems tepid at best, at least for now.

The Department of Defense announced $209.1 million worth of new contract awards Thursday. Notable winners that are also publicly traded companies include:
Lockheed Martin's (NYSE: LMT ) Mission Systems and Training division won a $29.5 million contract to supply computer cabinets, consoles, cables, and switches that will be used in testing Japan's modernized Aegis antimissile defense systems.�Lockheed is expected to complete work on this contract by June 2014.
